The challenge

Fashion e-shops pay creators for content without knowing what it actually sells, and shoppers who like an outfit have to hunt for the pieces across several stores. MODL needed a product that works for three audiences at once — shoppers, creators and merchants.

What we did

  1. Designed a feed of real outfits where each tagged piece can be bought in one tap, plus creator profiles and saved looks.
  2. Built one React codebase shipped as native iOS and Android apps with Capacitor, with native sign-in, sharing, push notifications and over-the-air updates.
  3. Wrote a Rust (Axum) backend with PostgreSQL that attributes every order to the post and creator it came from.
  4. Integrated merchants via a Shopify app and WooCommerce webhooks that sync catalogues automatically, and built a merchant dashboard and an admin console.
  5. Designed the marketing site and an animated pitch to onboard e-shops and creators.

The result

MODL is live on the App Store and at modl.sk, with one platform serving shoppers, creators and merchants.
