Direct-booking website for a holiday apartment in the High Tatras

The challenge
Most guests found the apartment through booking platforms that take a commission on every stay. The owner wanted a website that sells the apartment as well as the photos do and lets guests book directly — without double bookings or prices that differ from what the guest ends up paying.
What we did
- Designed a scroll-driven homepage around the apartment’s photography, with the next free night and the starting price shown right in the hero.
- Connected availability and prices live to the Smoobu channel manager, so the calendar on the website always matches the booking platforms.
- Built a three-step booking flow — dates and guests, details, review and pay — where Stripe charges exactly the quote calculated on the server.
- Pushed paid bookings and cancellations back to Smoobu automatically, and built an admin with an all-channel overview of stays, search and manual bookings.
- Made it easy to find and use: structured data for search engines and AI assistants, WCAG AA contrast, keyboard access and fast-loading images.
The result
The live site at foxapartments.sk takes direct bookings in Slovak and English, with availability and prices kept in sync with every channel.
